During the 1996 NFL Season, the Denver Broncos uniforms went through a massive overhaul. Going from their baby blue helmets with the iconic D logo, to the new, dark navy blue with modern style horse. During this time, equipment from previous years was repurposed. This is most notably found with helmets. The old baby blue helmets were re-painted navy blue leaving the original color inside as seen in the photos. During the beginning of the season, the team had painted just enough helmets for the players with very little, if any, extras. This helmet comes from the personal collection of former NFL Offensive Lineman (and teammate), Ralph Tamm.
