Today many cars offer a dock connector that links the iPod to the audio system. Through this A2DP adapter, any mobile phone with suitable Bluetooth capabilities can be connected wirelessly instead of the Apple iPod as an audio source. Also enables iPod docking accessories like HiFi stations or iPod speakers to receive audio streams from any Bluetooth source like mobile phones, MP3 players, PDAs or PCs.
Unlike FM transmitters that sometimes have poor sound quality because of the analog communication, this uses the Bluetooth A2DP profile and streams audio in crystal clear, digital quality to the receiving unit like a car stereo or a sound dock.
If remote control commands like stop, pause, play, next or previous title can be executed from the steering wheel of a car to the iPod, the same functionality is provided through the A2DP adapter to the connected Bluetooth device (AVRCP profile).
To install, simply plug the A2DP Bluetooth Adapter into the connector designated for an Apple iPod, and it will begin automatically its search for new or paired devices, no key needs to be pressed or software to be installed.
